C2 Enables Us to Create a Community of Prayer and Spiritual Support on Our Site

C2 has been a huge boost site which was started in 2005 to offer spiritual support to people of all faiths. Originally I intended to offer my spiritual counseling services on the site, though since that time my work has evolved and expanded. I'm currently not doing sessions and we support the site with donations. I now share the site with others that I work with and our team responds to those who write in. C2 has increased our traffic and enabled us to keep the site relevant and fresh even though we haven't added new content to the site for quite a while.

Having C2 on the site has allowed us to interact with our visitors and to offer hope, encouragement and support to people in a variety of different ways. We have C2 forms on many pages, encouraging people to share their experience with depression, relationships, and dreams. We also have Spiritual Poems section for people to share poetry, and a "World Change" page where people can share what they are doing to help create a better world.

We get occasional submissions to most of these forms, and the most popular C2 invitation on our site is our Prayer Requests page. We get one to ten prayer requests per day. These are deeply heartfelt prayers from people who are going through difficult times. It is very touching to read and respond to the prayer requests, and to see the comments that other visitors leave for those who are requesting prayers.

Unlike other areas of our site, we've never had to moderate the comments in the Prayer Requests as visitors have shared compassionate responses to those who have requested prayers. People who have sent in prayer requests sometimes write and thank us to let us know that we helped them. We even have some people who send in regular prayer requests every month or so, ever since we've had the C2 forms on our site.

We have several Content 2.0 prayer pages written by visitors that have evolved into very profound discussions for those who are feeling in a desperate situation. Here are some comments from some people who found us while searching online, which express so beautifully exactly what we are hoping to accomplish with the site:

"I came here to ask you to help me and my family by blessing me with a decent job, but after reading all of these other prayers my eyes fill with tears and my heart aches for them also. So now I ask you to please bless them and give them what they so desperately need."

"I'm standing at my register feeling overwhelmed. Business is slow, we have our heads just above water and I thank God for that. Somedays I feel confident that the Lord opened the business for us but it is a struggle. I just typed in Lord help me and this site came up. There are so many people crying out to God on this site I began crying and asking the Lord to answer us all."

"I don't know what lead me to this site but I typed in "Lord Help Me" and this is the site that came to me. I just want to say my heart goes out to everyone and I know it has to be a reason as to why we are going through the things that we are going through."

I am very grateful for C2 on our site, as it helps people to feel supported and to know that they are not alone. We hope to be a resource for spiritual support, to help people feel more connected with each other and with the Divine, in whatever form they choose.

We hope to ease the isolation, pain and stress that people are going through during these difficult times. Because people can write in and share on the C2 forms, and can see what others have shared, they have a direct experience that they are not alone. They pray not only for themselves but for others, and this helps everyone!
