Content 2.0 has facilitated the transfer of passion. Here is what I mean. Before using C2, my site was all one directional. The site was about my passion and my experiences in teaching people about volleyball. I have realized over the last year that there are a lot of people who share this passion and have other great information to share.

C2 has allowed those people to share their experiences, ideas, tips, and even their photos. Now, my site has become more of a forum where people can come to gain new ideas, share theirs and comment on how it has helped them.

They share because THEY WANT TO. This is the best kind of passion to capture. You cannot put a value on this kind of participation. Not only does my passion grow when others join me, but my business grows as others share.

This is a small part of the power that C2 has to offer a web-based business. Other people will help you grow you business by finding even more people that have similar passions with experience to share.

Content 2.0 is fun for people. Visitors get to share their opinions and make their marks on your site. They step out of the two-dimensional world of the Internet into a new dimension--helping to create content on your site.

But how does this help you grow a business?

Interactivity is the key. C2 allows you to participate and mingle with your visitors. Whether people are sharing their experiences, tips or asking questions, they watch how you interact with other people on your site. It is through this interaction that you are able to instill trust and establish yourself as an authority in your industry.

People prefer to do business with those they know and trust and this feature fosters that.

In addition, each Content 2.0 submission becomes a new page your site. Each new page becomes a doorway through which search engines can send you traffic. And C2's use of long tail keywords helps you get an edge on the competition because those keywords are usually less competitive than other keywords. The more pages you have of this nature, the more stable and secure your business base is.

Another very valuable feature of C2 is when you have a lively discussion area on your site, you get to watch potential customers interact. You see their comments, reactions and emotions. C2 visitors tend to be very candid, too. By watching these interactions, you get the opportunity to witness first hand, they likes and dislikes of your field. You get to discover what people really want and need when it comes to someone in your business.
