Content 2.0 Is Helping Me Flatten The World

As I see it, Content 2.0 is playing a big part in further "flattening the world" as Thomas L. Friedman described at length in his book "The World Is Flat".

Here Is How

SBI! 2.0 helps to fill the gap between knowledge and its consumers ...

+ By giving knowledgeable people a first-class seat in my fast rising SBI!-built Web site - Weather-in-Canada-Observer.com (over 20,000 page views per month and rising).

+ By giving information-hungry people - wanting to understand major issues such as "global warming" - access to more reliable information not available anywhere else.

I created Weather-In-Canada-Observer.com to share my knowledge and hopefully help my readers better understand the weather-related information they are being fed by the media.

I have more than 25 years experience in operational meteorology, which means that I know for a fact that do not have all the answers ;-)

I felt that, collectively, my readers must have the answers that I do not posses or fully understand. Some of them would love to share what they know, but do not have the means to reach their intended audience.

I began looking for a way to give my readers a "platform" or "launching pad" from which they would share their experience and knowledge for the benefit of my Web site visitors.

SBI! To The Rescue ... Again

That is when the creators of SBI! came along wit Content 2.0 ... and saved my day, as usual ;-)

They developed a way for me to give my more knowledgeable readers the platform to publish their articles by giving them a permanent and visible berth on my (already) well known Web site.

Soon after incorporating Content 2.0 features in my Web site, individuals (some of them PhDs) began submitting articles in which they share their knowledge of atmospheric phenomena, climate change and "global warming".

My contributors get extra exposure. I get valuable extra content that I would, otherwise, never have been able to offer my Web site visitors.

My readers, my contributors and I are happy. A win-win-win situation.

Rewarding In More Ways Than Expected

My contributors obviously are proudly letting people know that they have published an article on a prominent Web site ... because I can see visitor traffic increasingly entering my Web site via their contributed pages.

Unexpectedly, my site's growing presence on the Web is becoming rewarding in ways I had not expected. The extra traffic is generating more income. A most welcome side-effect.

I am retired and I am awed by the fact that I am now contributing positively to a world wide change for the better.
