Inbound Links from Content 2.0 Means More Traffic to My Core Pages

I created an "Ask the Expert" section with Content 2.0, and find that most people ask the same questions that I've already answered elsewhere on my site. So instead of answering questions again, I began simply linking to the pages that answer their questions.

Well, I began to find that the pages I linked to the most began to get higher and higher rankings at the search engines. Hmmm. I thought that was curious until I realized that not only am I giving those pages more traffic, they are getting more inbound links as well.

Since I've answered HUNDREDS of questions on the same subject, I sometimes have hundreds of links that people continually follow throughout my pages. While interior site linking is probably not as powerful as linking from external sites, most of the pages that I refer to continually are in the top 10 at Google.

And my 'Ask the Expert' section has become SO popular that I had to create a FAQ page and divert all of my questions through there first. Of course, I used the SBI process to create that FAQ page which made it search engine-friendly as well.

So, now I'm getting search engine traffic to my FAQ page too!!
