Your Personal Online Travel Guide - C2 Customer Service!

by Honor

I've gradually been building my travel site about Tokyo and been loving the whole process. The site has been up and growing for 2 years now and I've been really pleased with the progress. Still, there are always ways to improve what we're doing and I'm constantly reviewing what's working and what's not.

When I first tried C2 I used it to launch a video competition. This was a tough one. I wanted to grow my content but knew that video was a big ask of people. That's why I decided to try a competition. Big learning curve! People just don't want to be asked to do too much. I tried to make the process simple and there were some takers, but not as many as I'd hoped for.

Failure is never failure though... unless we let it be. Me? I'd got C2 between my teeth and was determined to make it work to grow my content. I knew there was a way. I decided to turn it round to giving my visitors the chance to ask their questions about travel to Tokyo and... BINGO! Hallelujah : )

I may not have had the number of submissions that some others have but not only does this method of using C2 encourage submissions, it also helps me to see where there are "holes" in my content. Someone asks a question and I think, hmmmm, I haven't covered that topic at all. It becomes a whole new section on the site. Awesome : )

My C2 continues to grow and it naturally builds my content around interest areas that visitors to Tokyo have that I might otherwise miss.

If you've not yet tried C2 and would like to give it a go, just think about what would make you take the time to write into a site. That's your particular C2 gold mine of content right there. Very happy customers and a very happy you!

More Added Pages to the Site

In answer to John, about how does Honor make people return to her site after they have visited Tokyo.......

I think Honor can Add Pages to her Site about:

Living in Tokyo
Buying an Apartment in Tokyo
Other Cites in Japan

After their enjoyable visit to Tokyo, people may like it so much that they would want to visit another region or to live in Tokyo for good. Just an idea.

Wish I had a website like Honor's. Well done.

Thanks for your sharing

I Think I Can Help

Most of the time, people visit travel sites to get information on where they want to go. However, there are things that one might be able to do to get them to come back.

1. You could have a travel magazine (magazine maker included with SBI! 2.0 for free) and encourage visitors to sign up. Then they will receive issues in their email box, reminding them to come back to your site.

2. Encourage your visitors to share their vacation stories and photos. Many C2 users launch contests for such things, like "The Best Vacation Story," or, "The Best Vacation Photo." I've heard of C2 users holding the contests "American Idol" style, where contests encourage family and friends to participate in the vote. The contestant with the most votes wins! It really gets traffic going and introduces new people to the site. It depends on the site, of course, but it has worked very well.

3. Whenever a visitor participates with C2, they are given the option to be notified when others make contributions to the site or comment on their submissions. That means they get an email each time something is added and will be led back to the site, time and again, until they decide to opt out.

Get creative! C2 is so easy to use that once you get the hang of it, the sky's the limit. Many C2ers have new ideas on how to implement different strategies on a regular basis. The SBI! forums is a great place to hang out and C2ers love to share their ideas with one another.

Perhaps Honor will have a better idea.

Repeat Visits

I can see how the question/answer format would help people who are planning a trip. How do you get them to come back to your site after they go to Japan?

SBI! delivers a proven process and a the only complete suite of tools that convert your knowledge/passion into a profitable e-business.

Your knowledge and life experiences are unique. Use SBI! to tap into your interests. Connect with like-minded people. Grow a profitable e-business that can make this the first day of the rest of your life.

SBI! has long been the best way to achieve e-business-building success. No other product has its proven track record of success.

We took the best and pushed it an entire level higher. C2 turns your visitors into willing content-contributors. Content 2.0 pushes way beyond blogging, where you still create all the content and where only a few (the same few, if any) visitors leave short comments, often just to get "link love."

Content 2.0 is true Web 2.0 for the small e-business person. Visitors create full Web pages because they want to, because they share your passion. Others comment. Viral spread happens.

Important Disclosure

This site was started by (creator of SBI!) to showcase Content 2.0.

The vast majority of pages on this site are from submissions by real SBI! owners who want to share their stories with you.

They receive no compensation of any kind from Their stories are true.

Feel free to interact with any of them with your questions or comments. Use the Comments section at the end of each story.

You will notice a common thread here... These people simply do it. They have "BAM"...

Brain (knowledge of something) Attitude (positive) Motivation" (willing to work).

BAM is the key ingredient that you must add to SBI!. To elaborate...

"Brain" does not mean "brainy." It means they have, or have developed, knowledge in a niche (perhaps from a hobby, job, other life experience).

"Attitude" means they are positive, optimistic people who work well with others (this is why the SBI! Forums are unmatched in the small e-business world).

"Motivation" means they want to build a business and take control of their lives enough to sacrifice some leisure activities.

We point this out because we do not want to falsely raise your expectations. SBI! does not deliver "automatic success." Nothing can.

Your degree of success depends on your own level of "BAM," upon how much time you devote to building your Web business, and upon following the process correctly (every successful SBIer will tell you, "Follow the Action Guide").

SBI! does deliver what it promises... your best chance at e-business success. SBI! works... if you work it.
